John Burton is a professional photographer born in Castro Valley, raised in Alameda, and currently residing in Alameda, California. He studied film at the Academy of Art University, where he developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling.

John is highly proficient in sports photography and has a deep passion for nature photography. He recently followed and documented the journey of Big Junior and her mate, the Alameda Eagles, capturing their story through powerful and intimate imagery.

In a major milestone, John held his first public art exhibition at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, showcasing his nature photography, from the ocean and California’s mountain landscapes to celestial views of the Moon and the Big Dipper.
