Alameda Post
About this Nominee
The Alameda Post is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, digital-only local news site focused on providing accurate, fact-based reporting on the diverse city of Alameda, CA. Our mission is to meet the local news and information needs of the 75,000 people who call our San Francisco Bay city home. We are proud to bring you the 2026 Alameda Stars community Awards.
In addition to our website, we publish a weekly email news digest with over 3,700 subscribers, and our weekly podcast, the AlamedaPostCast hosted by Scott Piehler, is Alameda’s only news podcast—available in all podcast directories. Our ongoing Alameda history walking tours, led by historian, Dennis Evanosky, educate and inform our residents about our community’s rich history.
Our content is available to thousands more via Apple News, MSN, Google News, NewsBreak, SmartNews, and from our social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, BlueSky, TikTok, Mastodon, Threads, Nextdoor, Reddit, and YouTube. You can add the Alameda Post to the home screen of your smartphone, as well. Our goal is to make Alameda news available everywhere people look for news online.
