About this Nominee
DOER Marine Operations is a global leader in manufacturing and operating subsea technology including submersibles, remotely operated vehicles, autonomous systems and bespoke tools for ocean science, film and exploration. Founded in 1992, the company has been a part of the Alameda community for nearly 35 years. We have always supported STEM and STEAM education and in 2020, when more people wanted/needed to explore closer to home, we opened the public facing Deep Ocean Explore Store to help directly connect people to the ocean. SCUBA, free diving, first aid/cpr lessons, expeditions and a wide range of gear is available to help people learn more about our ocean planet. We collaborate with Alameda CASA, The Wild Oyster Project, Mission Blue, and the student led AquaMeridian team on monthly coastal clean ups at Sea Plane Lagoon. We're collaborating with the Reap Center and West End Arts on ocean related exhibits that make blue-green connections. The company has been awarded multiple innovation and manufacturing awards.
